Virginia native Colin Killalea has brought an uncommon wealth of talent and skill to a range of musical endeavors, taking him to stages as diverse as the Knitting Factory, Lincoln Center, The Hollywood Bowl, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! Colin has toured five continents with the likes of Natalie Prass, and the Strokes’ Albert Hammond Jr; has produced albums by jazz trumpeter-composer John D’earth, indie chanteuse Juliana Daugherty, and Americana singer-songwriter Schuyler Fisk; and has tracked vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, and saxophone for recordings by Amber Arcades, Tommy Crane, and Hammond Jr. Colin has also composed music for projects including the acclaimed film Waiting for Bojangles and his own bands, Klauss, and Ex-poets. He is the saxophone instructor at the University of Virginia, and a touring member of Vampire Weekend.
